Obituary in the Gainesville Daily Registar, Friday December 8, 1939:

AGED GRANDMOTHER OF LOCAL MAN DIES
Word was received in Gainesville early Friday of the death of MrsWineford Stevens, 97, grandmother of W.B. Norris of this city, at herhome in Pilot Point Thursday evening.
Mrs Stevens, who had resided in Pilot Point for the past halfcentury, was a native of Missouri, born January 28, 1843. Her husbandpassed away in 1936.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.H. Goodin, Grants, NewMexico, two sons, John and Charles Stevens of the Burns City community,and four grandsons, Bennie Beck and Fred Norris, Amarillo; Arron Norris,Oklahoma City and W.B. Norris, Gainesville.
