In the name of God amen- I Hamilton Montgomery of the County of Washington State of Virginia, being of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament as to touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give dense and despose of in the following manner and form.
First- I give to my wife Tacy Montgomery two best beds, one bee stand and saw and pegs, corn and meat sufficient for the ensuing year, I wish all the rest of my personal property to be sold and equally divided amongst my four children, subject to my wife's claim, to one third of all the personal estate, and after all my just debts are paid, I with the balance of the money put to interest until my youngest child, John Gibson comes of age.
